Meals

Meals are included in the fee.

Every day (August 24 - September 5), from 8:30 am to 9:15 am, breakfast will be served in the Dining Hall. Participants are kindly invited to take advantage of this informal gathering opportunity before classes start.

​

Lunch will be daily served  from 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm.

 

Dinner will be daily served from 8.00 pm to 9.00 pm.

Practical Travel Information

 

From Fiumicino Airport (Rome FCO)​​

        By Train (Recommended – includes High-Speed Trains)

From Fiumicino Airport you can reach Benevento by one easy train connection:

1. Take the Leonardo Express from Fiumicino Airport → Roma Termini

   • Duration: 32 minutes

   • Runs every 15 minutes

   • Direct, no stops

2. From Roma Termini, take a direct high-speed train (Frecciarossa or Italo) to Benevento

   • Duration: ~1h 55 min – 2h 10 min

   • Multiple departures per day

Total travel time: around 2h 40 min – 3h depending on the connection.

Tickets can be booked on:

• Trenitalia (Leonardo Express + Frecciarossa/Intercity/Regionale)

• Italo (high-speed trains from Termini)

All trains arrive at Benevento Station, walking distance to the center and connected by local buses and taxis.

By Bus

​

There is no direct bus from Fiumicino Airport to Benevento.
However, you can take:

1. Shuttle bus: Fiumicino → Rome Tiburtina or Termini

2. Direct long-distance bus: Rome → Benevento (FlixBus, Itabus, MarinoBus)

Total duration: 3h 30 min – 4h 30 min depending on transfers.​

From Ciampino Airport (Rome CIA)​​

          By Train (Recommended – includes High-Speed Trains)

 

There is no train station inside Ciampino Airport, but the connection is still simple:

Step 1 — Airport → Rome Termini

Take one of the airport shuttle buses:

• SIT Bus, Terravision, or ATRAL

• Duration: 25–35 minutes

• Runs approximately every 20–30 minutes

• Direct to Roma Termini

(Alternatively: local bus 520/720 → metro A/B, but shuttle is easier.)

Step 2 — Rome Termini → Benevento (High-Speed Trains Available)

From Roma Termini, take a direct train to Benevento:

• Frecciarossa / Italo (high-speed):
  Duration: ~1h 55 min – 2h 10 min

• Intercity / Regionale:
  Duration: 2h 30 – 3h

Several departures per day.

Total estimated travel time from Ciampino Airport to Benevento:
About 2h 45 min – 3h 40 min, depending on shuttle + train connection.

Tickets can be booked on:

• Trenitalia (Intercity, Regionale, Frecciarossa)

• Italo (high-speed)

All trains arrive at Benevento Station, walking distance from the center with taxis and local buses available.

 

 

         By Bus

 

There is no direct bus from Ciampino Airport to Benevento.

You can do:

1. Ciampino Airport → Rome Termini or Rome Tiburtina
   Airport shuttle buses (SIT, Terravision, ATRAL) – 25–35 min

2. Rome → Benevento
   Long-distance buses from:

   • FlixBus

   • Itabus

   • MarinoBus

Departure usually from Tiburtina.
Total duration: 3h 30 min – 4h 30 min, depending on the route and waiting time.

From Capodichino Airport (Napoli NAP)​​

          By Train 

 

 

There is no train inside Naples Airport, but the connection is very easy.

Step 1 — Naples Airport → Napoli Centrale Station

Take the Alibus shuttle:

• Direction: Napoli Centrale (Main Station)

• Duration: 15–20 minutes

• Runs every 15–20 minutes

• You can buy tickets on board or online.

Step 2 — Napoli Centrale → Benevento

From Napoli Centrale, trains to Benevento are direct:

• Regionale / Regionale Veloce
  Duration: 1h 10 – 1h 25 min
  Frequent & inexpensive

• Intercity
  Duration: ~1h
  Fewer departures, slightly faster

Total travel time from the airport:

About 1h 30 min – 2h depending on the connection.

         By Bus

 

From Naples Airport there are occasional direct buses to Benevento operated by:

• Air Campania (UFN line)
  Sometimes with direct trips from the airport, or from Napoli Centrale.

Duration: 1h 30 – 1h 45 min
